Bigfoot Coffee Shop

Today is the last day of my favourite coffee shop in the world, Bigfoot Coffee Shop. There are loads of places selling coffee, arguably too many and I really don't care enough about coffee to choose to go and sit in most of them, by myself, for hours. That's not what this is about.

Bigfoot was special because there was always inclusive conversation, passionate debate, discovery, emotional support, new friends, delicious sandwiches, brownies and banana bread and a window into real life in Poland. It was a rock and a classroom. Without Bigfoot I don't think I would have stuck around in Poznan so long.

I'm so grateful to Luke and his Foursquare app for taking us there on September 20th 2014. If a few more people around the UK had used their freedom to explore some more of the world and find their Bigfoot, maybe they'd have better understood the beauty of the EU and immigration. I appreciate it's not that simple for many people, what's weird is that it really was that simple for me.

The owner of Bigfoot, Erik Witsoe is an excellent photographer and artist. Please check out his stunning pictures of the city of Poznan and follow his new endeavours
